The Amazon jungle is a biodiverse region that produces a large amount of oxygen for the planet and is our best defense against climate change, but we are slowly destroying it through deforestation. If we lose the Amazon, humanity will not survive.
Additionally, there are around 400 tribes in the Amazon each with their own cultures and practices. This amounts to thousands of years of indigenous knowledge around ecosystems, animals, plants and their important medicinal purposes. There are plants available that could be used to heal many of the western world’s medical problems, but have never been considered.
Educating business leaders about the Amazon jungle, its cultures, and the important role it plays to future generations, is one of our focuses. We are here to bridge cultures and support this area through education and at times, infrastructure.
An example of our support is helping to build a cultural educational centre, a place of gathering for westerners and the Yawanawa people of Brazil.
